In jazz style music you can then substitute one for another if it sounds good. Even if notes are the same its order and bass note can make a chord to sound totally different \u00a0so experiment.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Drawing, for example, Am7 chord will show that it is the same chord as Cadd6<\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h1>Scale finder<\/h1>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Click the frets to draw some notes. If a scale is recognized then its name will be shown. Usually it is the case that a scale in a particular key is constructed from same notes as some other scale in other particular key,for example, C major pentatonic and A minor pentatonic contain exactly the same notes. Playing for a while with this feature relations between different scales will become more obvious to you.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-family: Symbol; color: #010101; margin-left: -3mm; margin-right: 0mm;\"><span style=\"color: #010101;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>auto fill notes<\/strong> if checked fretboard will automatically fill all occurrences of notes you have\u00a0 drawn. Those notes will somewhat transparent so you can distinguish between notes you have drawn and those which were auto filled<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-family: Symbol; color: #010101; margin-left: -3mm; margin-right: 0mm;\"><span style=\"color: #010101;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>clear fretboard<\/strong> will empty the fretboard, otherwise you should click on every dot you have drawn to delete it.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<div style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a title=\"draw a familiar pattern and see what scale you were playin without even knowing it !\" href=\"#\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.desktopmetronome.com\/c5\/files\/6213\/6557\/4049\/scale%20finder.png\" alt=\"recognize scales by drawing a few notes on the fretboard\" width=\"790\" height=\"446\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">draw a pattern or shape and see what scale (or scales) it belongs to<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Tip:<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse;\" border=\"1\" width=\"576\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"3\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"border: #010101 1px solid;\" valign=\"top\" bgcolor=\"#ffffce\" width=\"567\">\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">One day surfing on the internet you finally found an exotic scale called &#8220;Mela Bhavapriya&#8221; and quickly loaded <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&#8220;Chords &amp; Scales&#8221; to see it in its all glory.
