Removing fret noise from guitar and bass recordings can be and in most cases is very painful job.Many tips found on internet and other audio resources suggest using deesser for that purpose or other kind of parametric equalization.But i found an very simple method that can solve problem in 90% of cases.Here is the trick:

Just delete that portions of bass track on which is fret noise heard! Of course,if it is solo-bass part of song that will not work,but in mix,were all instruments are playing ,few milliseconds gap in bass track can't be heard and for that reason it works great.Same can be tryed for guitar tracks or even in vocal tracks but for bass it works best.
