Removing
fret noise from guitar and bass recordings can be and in most cases
is very painful job. Many tips found on internet and other audio
resources suggest using deesser for that purpose or other kind of
parametric equalization. But i found an very simple method that can
solve problem in 90% of cases. Here is the trick:
Just delete that portions of bass track on which
is fret noise heard! Of course,if it is solo-bass part of song that
will not work, but in mix, were all instruments are playing ,few milliseconds
gap in bass track can't be heard and for that reason it works great.Same
can be tryed for guitar tracks or even in vocal tracks but for bass
it works best. |
