Often you may end up with an almost perfect
take, but perhaps there's too much squeak or finger noise between notes, or maybe you caught the next string just after bending a note. You can use the silence function to precisely remove these little errors, but it will sound more natural if you leave them where they are but instead reduce them in level by between 6 and 20dB.For time imperfections you can split little part of solo that doesn't fit well and shift it by few milliseconds left or right till it fits perfectly in time.If you like to cheat than you even can make a little part of solo to last longer or shorter with time/pitch scaling.

I read somewhere that Steve Vai and Joe Satriany does that all the time. hehehe...Vai & Satriani-lunatics...:)
